Welcome to Think Beyond. These Terms and Conditions outline how we provide psychological therapy, consultation and assessment services. By accessing our services or website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Services
Think Beyond provides private psychological therapy, consultation and selected assessment services for children, young people and adults, including:
- Psychological therapy
- Postdiagnostic support
- Mental health and psychological formulation assessments
- Cognitive and learning assessments
- Neurodevelopmental support (autism, ADHD and related profiles)
- Schoolbased consultation
- Written summaries, letters and reports
All clinical work is delivered by qualified, HCPCregistered clinicians.
2. Eligibility
By booking an appointment, you confirm that:
- You are aged 18+ or are a parent/legal guardian booking for a child under 16
- You have the authority to consent to therapy or assessment
- The individual attending is based in the UK and eligible for private psychological services
3. Consent
Children (Under 16)
Parents or legal guardians must provide consent for therapy or assessment.
Older Children & Young People
We encourage families to discuss the purpose of therapy or assessment with older children in advance. During the appointment, we explain the process in an ageappropriate way.
Adults
All adults must provide written consent before beginning therapy or assessment.
If you are arranging an appointment on behalf of another adult, we require direct consent from the individual attending, including their permission for you to communicate or share information on their behalf.
Adults may nominate another adult to communicate on their behalf. We will continue to check informationsharing preferences throughout therapy or assessment.

4. Booking, Fees & Payment
- Appointments can be arranged by email, text or phone.
- Payment is required a minimum of 48 hours before appointments
, and before any written summaries or reports are released. - Payment is made by bank transfer; details are provided at booking.
- Card payments
can be arranged on request and incur a 2% processing fee. - Fees are listed on our website and may be updated periodically. Confirmed bookings will honour the quoted fee.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations must be made by email or text at least 48 hours before the appointment.
- Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, or nonattendance, will be charged at the full session fee.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will offer an alternative appointment or a full refund for any session not delivered.
- Refunds cannot be issued for sessions or written work already completed.
6. Confidentiality & Data Protection
We follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Information shared in therapy or assessment is confidential.
- Exceptions apply where there is risk of serious harm, safeguarding concerns, or legal obligations.
- Data is stored securely and accessed only by authorised clinicians.
- You may request access, correction or deletion of your data, subject to clinical and legal requirements.

7. Written Summaries & Reports
- After an initial consultation, you will receive a written summary with a formulation, plan and recommendations.
- After ongoing sessions, brief written summaries can be provided if helpful.
- Additional reports or letters can be requested; fees vary depending on purpose and complexity.
- Written documents are for personal and clinical use and may not be reproduced without permission.
8. Limitations of Service
- Therapy and assessment outcomes depend on the information available at the time and may not always lead to a diagnosis.
- We do not provide emergency or crisis services. For urgent support, contact NHS 111, your GP, or emergency services (999).
- Recommendations are clinical suggestions and not legally binding.
9. Independent Practitioners
Think Beyond works with HCPCregistered clinicians who operate as independent practitioners. Each clinician is responsible for their own clinical work, professional standards and practice insurance.
10. Liability
While we take care to provide highquality clinical services:
- We are not liable for decisions made by third parties based on our reports or recommendations.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss.
11. Complaints
We welcome feedback and aim to resolve concerns promptly.
- Please contact us directly if you have a concern about any part of the service.
- We will acknowledge complaints within 7 days and aim to resolve them as quickly as possible.
- If unresolved, you may escalate to the relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC or BPS).
12. Amendments
We may update these Terms periodically. Updated versions will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
